I’ve had foot surgery a few years back and I’m diabetic with moderate foot pain. Plus I have wide feet and it’s been hard to find a shoe with stability, well cushioned, and a wide toe box and I stumbled across the Brooks Ghost Max 3 and I love them and they crossed all my boxes.

The best shoes!

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most comfortable shoes that I ever had. They fit perfectly, and help my feet not get all blistered up. I had plantar fasciitis in my left foot for quite some time a couple of years ago. But having the right shoes size and width makes all the difference in my feet. I would highly recommend Brooks shoes for everyone!

Pretty sure my injury was worse because of this shoe.

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I loved the shoe at first but after rolling my ankle in them a few times im almost certain this shoe aided in the injury. I had a 3rd degree sprain while wearing these shoes and im pretty sure that the reason it was so bad was because the cushion is so blocky that once your foot is already rolling the shoes shape doesn't protect you at all. I've been periodically trying them more and more recently and the same feeling is occurring. If you even have the slightest bit of the outer side of your foot off a curb or step there's a huge chance you're about to roll that ankle. I loved the Ghost Max 1 & 2 and was hoping id keep liking them but I think i might need to see if the 4 improves because I really don't like the 3.

Minor Upgrade to the Ghost Max 2

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these to replace Ghost Max 2’s that I got great service from. I would rank the GM3 about the same with a couple of differences. The GM3 4e are roomier in the toe box which I appreciate. I think I could have gotten by with the 2e. I don’t care for the design of the tongue and thought the shape was odd at the top and too short. Kinda pricey but pretty comfortable.

Not a great sneaker for me

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like these sneakers but had to return them. They were very bulky; they hold my stride in an awkward position; they were hot; and they seemed very heavy and non-reactive. They might be great for someone else, but did not work for me. Instead, I got the Glycerin flex and really love them. Even though they aren't that much lighter in ounces, they feel much more airy. They are more responsive to my body and I can feel actually feel the road when I run. The flex portion allows them to adapt to my stride rather than holder a specific position like the Ghost Max 3. I would recommend the Glycerin Flex. I can't recommend the Ghost Max 3.

Great for my hard-to-fit son!

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves these shoes! He has always been hard to fit and finding comfortable shoes in a smaller men’s size AND extra wide has been a struggle. These were recommended by a local running store and right away my son said “these feel great!” Bought several pair in case they’re phased out and also because my son is very hard on shoes.

Great for my hard-to-fit son!

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost Max 3 was recommended by a local running store for my 20 yr. old son with special needs who has always been difficult to fit. He has small, flat and very wide feet and cannot fit in most men’s shoes comfortably. He LOVES these! So much so that I had to buy 3 more pair so he could rotate between them. I just wish the wide sizes would come in more colors. Still happy we found these, though!

Luv It

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

Old guy here, mid-70s. I no longer run, but I walk a lot. On the rough dirt roads and trails here in the Rocky Mountains, I've worn the Brooks Caldera for years. However, I needed a shoe for everyday casual wear and travel. The shoe has to provide stability, be highly supportive, have a reasonable amount of cushioning, and accomodate custom orthotics. The Ghost Max 3 checked all of my boxes. Plus, it is super comfortable. This is a perfect shoe for me.

Great Shoes for big extra wide feet

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfy for my son who has very big feet. They work for him he has been enjoying Brooks for a few years now. We tried a pair of Hokas and within a week or two his big toe was hurting. Switched back to Brooks and the pain went away within a week. Well made shoe overall, though the toes of the shoe dent inward and they look weird after just a short time wearing them.

Not good. After Dozens of perfect Fits…

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I’ve owned two dozen Brooks shoes. Perfect fit every time. Except these. Right shoe doesn’t fit. It’s like it’s missing the padding in the rear.
