501® Straight Fit Jeans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wearing 501s for around 40 years and always very pleased with the quality and fit. Being able to pick both waist and inside leg sizes is so much better than generic short/regular/long sizes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the colour of the denim. It has a deep dark blue colour. Out of the packet, they are quite shiny, but not in a 80s Miami Vice kind of way.(Thank god, the mid 80s did not age well) They are heavy, which was expected, considering they are 14oz.( I walked about like A Cowboy for a while until I got used to them. Not sure I would be able to mount a horse wearing these at the moment, probably not even a little pony, or even a pavement with a high kerb, but I am sure they will break in a bit after a wash or two. I like them, looking forward to wearing them when the weather gets a bit cooler.

Fantastic pair of 501s!!!! Selvenge, Made in China are the best Levi 501s i ever had!. Brilliant!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 36" waist and ordered a 36" and 34". The unwashed 36" was very loose and the 34" fitted my waist. Anticipating shrinkage I went with the 36" and returned the other pair. These jeans have not shrunk as much as I expected, even after two 95°C washes. They fit in the waist but are wide in the thigh and full in the seat. Perhaps what might be called a cowboy cut, comfortable in the saddle. I wanted a regular fit but these are looser than my Lee 101z or Wrangler 13mwz.

I'd been meaning to buy selvedge 501 jeans for a while and Red Tab sale was too good to miss. They are 'shrink to fit' and I've not had 'shrink to fit' since 1970s but I bought perfect size raw denim so won't try that so I keep them perfect size. I'll just follow cold wash instructions. These are great jeans. I'm enjoying wearing them and feel good matching with my other Levi denim shirts and baseball caps. Also, other Levi shirts. I can see why younger people are checking them out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned quite a few pairs of jeans over the years, but these are easily among the most comfortable. The fabric is incredibly soft, the fit feels effortless, and they’re so comfortable that I sometimes forget I’m even wearing them genuinely come home and forgotten to take them off. Brilliant quality and a pleasure to wear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dont understand why 1 in 3 pair of levis fit properly whereas the other two are baggy from the knee up. The waist and length are always correct on all the pants. I wear a 29x30. Why this issue. I dont wear the baggy ones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best fitting jeans I have worn in such a long time. They're tough but soft at the same time if that makes sense. Definitely 10/10.

I've been wearing some iteration of the 501 since the late '60's and these are the best yet! Genuine Selvedge without the annoying left leg "wraparound" of the original (well, there's a slight bit), slightly heavier fabric and thread weight, excellent Vietnamese construction. I got the same size as I've always used in 501/505/511 jeans and they are perfect.
